A planimetric map is a type of topographic map. Topographic maps are characterized by detail and relief. A planimetric map differs from a topographic map, in that, it does not show elevations. This map is of China made by the Japanese Expeditionary Forces in 1932 to show a Chinese city and the irrigation system.
